During the 2024 SSCW meeting in Paris, the council will have to decide the location for its 2026 meeting. Colleagues who would like to make a proposal for the organisation of the next meeting should conctact the executive committe (Bettina Klaus, Marc Fleurbaey, Arunava Sen and Vincent Merlin) by March 1st, 2024. The proposals will have to be presented and discussed during the council meeting in Paris.
As the location of the meeting traditionnaly rotates between continents, the executive committe will in priority consider propositions from Asia and Africa. Collegues who would be interested in organizing the meeting in 2028 or 2030 are also encouraged to get in touch with the executive committee.
Future organizers should know that the meeting is generally attended by 250 to 350 participants ; they should be able to self finance the meeting with registrations and sponsors.
