During the 2026 SSCW meeting in Tokyo, the council will have to decide the location for its 2028 meeting. Colleagues who would like to make a proposal for the organisation of the next meeting should contact the executive committe (Bettina Klaus, Marc Fleurbaey, and Vincent Merlin) by January 1st, 2026. The proposals will have to be presented and discussed during the council meeting in Tokyo.
As the location of the meeting traditionnaly rotates between continents, the executive committe will in priority consider propositions from Americas and Africa. Collegues who would be interested in organizing the meeting in 2030 or 2032 are also encouraged to get in touch with the executive committee.
Future organizers should know that the meeting is generally attended by 250 to 350 participants ; they should be able to self finance the meeting with registrations and sponsors.
